Learn what Discovering Justice has to offer by watching videos of our programs!

“It’s not fair!”

We all have to follow rules. The younger you are, the more rules you have to follow, and the more you have to deal with issues of what is fair and unfair.

Discovering Justice’s programs give you the chance to learn about laws, rules, and justice.  They can teach you about your rights as an individual and your responsibilities to the community, help you express your opinions and argue convincingly, and strengthen your ability to stand confidently and make a statement.

You can:

  • Bring your class to do an activity about the Bill of Rights in a real courtroom.
  • Ask your school to sign up for our justice curriculum.
  • Visit the John Adams or Moakley U.S. Courthouse for a tour.
  • Participate in our after-school program on the Bill of Rights.

You can also explore justice and challenge your civic knowledge right here:

  • See how other students responded to the theme “Discovering Justice in My Community,” for the 2009 Boston Public Library/Boston Schools Collaborative Creative Writing and Design Contest.
  • Take a quiz to see how much you already know about civics.
  • Try our Discovering Justice Word Search.
  • Find other civic education resources online.
